Overview

Far East Society (FES) was born in 2019 to represent a semi-professional team that qualified to play in a major tier tournament - the Overwatch Contenders Pacific. We wanted to create a brand that represented our team, which was multinational, cooperative, and harmonious. And thus 'Far East Society' was born. At the time, the team had representatives from over eight different countries. Although we were faced with language and cultural barriers, we were able to overcome our differences and not only go through Open Division and Trials of Overwatch Contenders but become 2nd in the Pacific region during the regular season and 3rd during the playoffs. 'Far East' represents the Asian aspects of our team, and 'Society' was a newly added theme to the team, which was to represent, not only cooperation of players and staff from many different countries but a promise to create a brand that can give back to the community.
