DC-based nonprofit harnessing the power of young leaders to address food insecurity and basic needs nationwide while inspiring the next generation of change-makers, philanthropists and social entrepreneurs. F4F has two major outcomes: 1. Cultivate, nurture and mentor the next generation of change-makers. Give students (middle school, high school and college aged) the opportunity to truly lead a service initiative where they are able to see and feel the results of their hard work. We give students the tools and the playbook and then we encourage them to adapt the model to whatever works in their area. Every student club looks a little different, but the end goal is the same—getting fresh food in the hands of families in need. 2. Deliver fresh food and other essentials to families in need. We help each student club identify a community-based nonprofit that serves families in need in their area. The nonprofit partner will identify the families in greatest need. The students collect fresh groceries and other essentials and deliver it to the community-based nonprofit.
