Overview

The European Youth Parliament represents a non-partisan and independent educational project which is tailored specifically to the needs of the young European citizen. The EYP encourages independent thinking and socio-political initiative in young people and facilitates the learning of crucial social and professional skills. The EYP engages about 20,000 youngsters every year. Its 120 events each year are run by young volunteers in 40 European countries. The European Youth Parliament Portugal counts with around 100 active members from all over the country. It organises three Regional and one National Selection Conferences a year - these are 3 to 5 day long events in which delegates are selected to represent Portugal in International events - as well as other events such as Inter-Regional Forums, School Session, International Forums and alumni weekends.
