Time to think … The year is 2009, and the place is the hometown of world-renowned storyteller H. C. Andersen. A businessman, who used to have his hands – and mind – full, sits down to think. The silence allows his mind to run free. With more than 25 years in the cargo security business, he has met many obstacles; heard every question. He knows just about every challenge. He thinks of lashing equipment, which hasn’t changed since its invention. But why? When it comes to safety and efficiency, there are obvious drawbacks to the existing equipment. For instance, inserting the webbing into the ratchet is a time-consuming process. He knows he can make this process both easier and quicker. Countless thoughts, ideas, and gadgets see the light of day over the next couple of years. There’s progress, but also dead ends. Then, in 2016, he’s got it: a fully functional prototype. It’s easy to use and both economically and ergonomically superior to the original, so he names it Ergolash®. Determined to transform his prototype into a quality product ready to be used by the demanding cargo industry, he keeps working on it. This innovative version of an old product is sure to attract attention, and the cargo industry will benefit from it. Wanting to protect his invention, the businessman applies for a world patent.
