Overview

Enactus is a worldwide community of students and business leaders who create opportunities for the unprivileged to transform their lives socially, economically and environmentally. Enactus LSR has been actively addressing a variety of socio-economic concerns through Project Maati, Project Yuvaakti, Project Kalakaashi, Project Auric and recently launched Project Utthaan. It is one of the most active societies of Lady Shri Ram College for Women, which was initiated in the academic year 2012. It aims to provide students with a platform through which they can help society by inculcating the entrepreneurial spirit - to provide people with long-term financial stability and help them move towards sustainable development. Project Utthaan is an endeavour to revolutionize the convention of farming with village communities of Tigaon incorporating the practice of vertical gardening to create ornamental, medicinal and eco enhancing indoor and outdoor gardens on panels. A crusading solution to the problem of poor sanitation in rural areas was found by the members of Enactus LSR through the launch of Project Auric. Under this project, a group of socially oppressed women have been pursuaded to give up their inhibitions and stand on their feet by manufacturing a dishwashing liquid called Auric.
