THE EMBERS FOUNDATION The founders of Flying Embers, a crafted alcohol company from Ojai, California, had their vision threatened by the 2017 Thomas Fire. At the time this was the largest wildfire ever in the state of California. Through good fortune and the hard work and sacrifice of the Ventura and Los Angeles Fire Departments, the Flying Embers R&D brewery and home were spared. Humbled and inspired by this event, in gratitude, Flying Embers committed 1% of all company revenue to address firefighter, first responder, and community and prevention needs locally, regionally, and nationally. In order to help bring this mission the greatest success the Embers Foundation was formed as a 501(c)3 organization. By dedicating this ongoing donation to the Embers Foundation, Flying Embers has established itself as an example of corporate citizenship for others to follow and exemplifies the power of public/private partnerships. HOW WE SUPPORT REWILD - Rewilding programs help prevent wildfires and support ecosystems on a national scale through tree planting, brush clearing, river and beach cleanups, and educational programs. RESPOND - Response programs provide first responders and communities with resources and survival necessities in real-time, including food, water, and emergency supplies. RECOVER - Recovery programs concentrate on the long-term wellness of our first responders on a national scale, recognizing the mental health implications of their work.
