Electrão is the largest Portuguese compliance scheme for electrical and electronic equipment recycling. Established in April 2005 under the WEEE Directive, organizes the treatment and recycling of WEEE, batteries and accumulators from authorized collection points, on behalf of its producer members. Since 2017, Electrão manages package waste recycling. Electrão is a member of the WEEE Forum, Eucolight and WEEElogic.
