Effective Altruism (EA) is a social and intellectual movement advocating the use of evidence and reason to prioritize the most promising ways to do good. Our mission is to promote a humane and practical framework for allocating aid, optimizing decision-making, and guiding the development of new technologies to more effectively meet the challenges facing current and future generations. EA Switzerland aims to leverage the unique institutional, financial and human capital of Switzerland to: - Assist highly skilled individuals to start working on priority causes in high-impact positions; - Advise philanthropists and grant-making institutions in directing funding to top causes; and - Advocate for policymakers to make explicit cause-prioritization a key consideration
