Overview

There are four M.S.T. program tracks, so you can choose the path that best meets your career goals. M.S.T. in Early Childhood Special Education – You will learn to teach children in general or special education. This dual-certificate program will prepare you with the tools to revise traditional teaching methods and develop skills in behavior management, social-emotional development, and inclusive teaching for diverse learners. M.S.T. in Childhood Education – Your classes and coursework will explore child development, instructional practices for inclusive elementary classrooms, and professional studies. This program prepares students seeking initial teaching certification after graduating. M.S.T. in Childhood Special Education – You will learn how to create environments that encourage the success of all children through adaptive instructional practices, professional studies, and instruction in child development. This program prepares you to teach children with disabilities and to seek dual certification after graduating. M.S.T. in Childhood and Early Childhood Education – Your coursework will examine the different stages of childhood development. In this dual-certificate program, you will learn techniques for solving challenges affecting children at different developmental stages and how to engage with students in a positive manner.
