ECDC (Edhec Community for Dynamic Culture) is a student association dedicated to urban culture at the EDHEC Business School (Lille, France) Since 2009, ECDC’s goal has been to promote urban culture among EDHEC’s 8000 students and in the Lille Metropolitan Area (1,4 million habitants) through its events all over the year. - The Urban Spring, an entire day dedicated to urban culture, where everyone can attend cultural and sportive performances, along with a market for small designers from the urban world and food trucks. The event ends with a great concert from some of France’s emerging artists - The Beatmaking Masterclass : a conference held by a professional beatmaker (Binks Beatz, Nardey…) - The Rap Contenders between associations, a music video contest and rap battles between 20 of EDHEC’s student associations Finally, the associations is committed into supporting the student life in Lille through its “Crossover” nights (Hip-hop nights for students in Lille with more than 750 people attending) and the musical afternoons that aim to introduce children from deprived areas to urban culture and art. Moreover, ECDC is also a media that puts the spotlight on urban culture through its Instagram account (@ecdc_us) that shares rap and streetwear actualities along with artists interviews to its more than 3000 followers With already 14 years of existence, the association supported by its 50 members is now willing to establish itself as a major actor in Lille’s cultural life while sticking to its core values : respect, openness and tolerance.
