Overview

Dynamic Skate Technologies started in September 2013 in the rapid prototyping center at UW Milwaukee, where insights of speed skating was combined with the knowledge of engineering to build the first prototype of the mechanical hybrid clap skate, the X7. In essence, the X7 is a new speed skate benefitting from the advantages of the clap skate and the fixed skate, making the X7 a revolutionary skate. In Summer of 2014, UW Milwaukee's Student Startup Challenge supported the vision of Dynamic Skate enabling the X7 to be further developed. Since then, the X7 was redesigned, tested, and refined while Dynamic Skate explored additional key partners. Our mission is to enhance the sport of speed skating by providing exceptional skating equipment by addressing the needs of skaters.
