DRZ - Deutsches Rettungsrobotik-Zentrum e.V.

Robotics Engineering

Overview

Our vision is that helpful robotic systems in the air, at sea and on land will make the everyday lives of civil emergency response teams safer. This is because in particularly dangerous situations (earthquakes, CBRNe, etc.), robots and BOS drones can be deployed in such a way that human emergency services do not have to be put at additional risk. To this end, rescue robotics must be researched, developed and learnt so that they can be deployed successfully. The DRZ e.V. is the world's largest network for rescue robotics! We bring together application, research and companies to work together on the real deployment of the future - with robotic support. Researching rescue robotics... ...for us at the DRZ means participating in research projects as a fully-fledged partner. We have already done this several times at national and international level. But we are also happy to take on contract research. Just get in touch with us! Developing rescue robotics... ...for us means offering companies our 2,800 square metre "Living Lab" with its diverse structures and possible uses. But for us it also means carrying out trials and tests on commission. We would be happy to prepare a customised offer. Learning rescue robotics... ...for us means offering training courses for civil emergency response teams. This involves not only flying robots, but also ground robotics and water robotics. (Our courses are currently only available in German.) Using rescue robotics... ...for us means subjecting innovative technology to the endurance test of real operations. Our "Robotics Task Force - under construction" has already been involved in several operations in co-operation with the Dortmund fire brigade (telecommunication train).
