Overview

Combine sharp technical aptitude with a strong curiosity, and you have just described the ethos of Dreamware. Bringing over 25 years experience in software development and internet technology, Dreamware’s groundbreaking research into fake news during the 2016 elections gave them the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading media entities, such as NPR and The Dr. Oz Show. Their work also attracted the attention of TED fellows, helping them map out the TED network. John Jansen (CEO) formerly worked as a Senior Software Engineer with leading big data analytics firm Quid, where he worked on everything from API design and development to programming in Ruby and Python. A native of New Zealand, John got his career start working in graphic arts right as the internet took off. He began building content management systems for large corporate websites, and his talents were quickly noticed. He later worked as an Internet Architecture Manager with MediaWorks NZ, where he helped implement websites, strategies, and systems for 30+ radio stations. Dreamware's work has been featured in several media outlets, including NPR, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The New Zealand Herald, and Unlimited Magazine.
