We are DOK Delft. An innovative public library from origin. Proud of our history, our city and what we have established over the years with our dedicated partners. Together with our solid team of both colleagues and volunteers, our aim is to help you learn and explore and exceed your expectations in the process. As it is our belief that everyone continues to grow. Our members altogether borrow and read over 1 million books (including e-books) per year. Furthermore, we facilitate children, (grand)parents and teachers via educational sources to help spread our love and expertise in reading and language skills. Besides inspiration and having fun, reading- and language skills provide a solid basis for the future. Our services that benefit the development of young children are continuously growing. Aside from our successful language programs, we will extend our service by adding proven art- and science programs and enrich our cultural services even more. For adult inhabitants of Delft our aim is to make reading more easy, more accessible and more attractive; with access to all available digital and physical library books. This new establishment –that will reopen at the end of 2017- will be called ‘OPEN’ and provides access to an extensive offer of music, dance, theatre and fine arts by De VAK.
