Doc Edge is the home for storytelling that changes your world. Doc Edge is an Oscar-qualifying, Australasia's premier international documentary film festival that runs by The Documentary New Zealand Trust which is a not-for-profit charitable organisation based in Auckland, New Zealand. Our Programmes / Services include: Doc Edge Festival The Academy Awards® qualifying international documentary film festival. The Festival showcases the best films from New Zealand and around the world. It includes the Doc Edge Awards, Doc Edge Schools (free screenings for students Year 5-Tertiary), Doc Edge Forum, Doc Edge Pitch (industry events) and Doc Edge Exhibition (for interactive digital projects and special events). Doc Edge Schools An educational programme for students Year 5 to Tertiary that connects school students in with documentaries from New Zealand and around the world. Doc Edge Schools offers free screenings during Doc Edge Festival and an On Demand platform for schools across the country. Doc Edge Forum An industry event that brings together local and international film, TV and other media professionals. It offers seminars, panels, masterclasses, networking opportunities and Doc Edge Pitch, a documentary pitching forum for short and feature films and TV series. Doc Edge Exhibition A showcase of digital interactive storytelling projects featuring top international and local VR, AR, installations, and digital stories curated for audiences to experience.
