Overview

Dobra Energia dla Olsztyna is a company managing a strategic investment for the residents of Olsztyn (the capital of Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship) and the entire region, which is the construction and operation of the Waste to Energy plant (WtE). The aim of the eco-power plant is to produce clean, green energy from municipal waste. The investment is carried out in the formula of public-private partnership (PPP), and Dobra Energia dla Olsztyna is a private partner selected through a public tender. The company is based on two very strong pillars, that is, the Meridiam Eastern Europe Investments SAS fund, specialising in the development, financing and management of long-term public infrastructure projects, and the Urbaser SAU company, which is an international entity providing services for local governments in the waste management and processing sector. The company's ambition is to implement and manage the Waste to Energy Installation in Olsztyn as an exemplary, in terms of ecology and technology, not only in the country but also throughout Europe.
