Overview
Desert Mars Analog Ramon Station, is an international planetary analog research center. D-MARS's aims to promote the space sector, science and technology, by creating infrastructure for technology development, academy research and as a method used in educational programs. D-MARS simulations are used for astronauts training, testing new space technologies, education, cutting-edge researches and as a way to make space more accessible for the general public. A simulated mission in a mock habitat facility is meant to test the durability of future crews under isolation and harsh conditions. The desert environment in the habitat’s vicinity is used for simulated Extra-Vehicular Activities (EVA), where simulated analogue field work will be conducted.
