District 82 is the second best district of Toastmasters International, which covers clubs from Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. Toastmasters from all walks of life - students, professional speakers, entrepreneurs, corporates, etc - are a part of District 82. Since its humble inception, District 82 has grown to become a renowned district in TMI by producing a lot of stellar speakers and world-class leaders, and making Toastmastering truly an enjoyable experience to everyone. At present, District 82 covers over 190 clubs from Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, with 12 Divisions and approximately12560 Toastmasters in total. District 82 also houses the first VP of TMI, DTM Arunasalam Balraj and the World Champion of Public Speaking 2014, DTM Dhananjaya Hettiarachchi. District 82 strives to provide a second-to-none platform to help people realise and augment their public speaking and leadership skills by providing best in class training and educational programmes.
