Overview

DINIT is a beautiful Irish word meaning dignity, a global fundamental human right too often denied to millions of people. DINIT provides Human Resources for the International Humanitarian and Development Aid sectors. We were established in late 2014 and our aim is to empower people to regain their dignity by providing experts to communities in an array of professions to support organisations and to provide timely assistance to those in need in areas of natural or man-made disaster and conflict. DINIT is run entirely by volunteers who believe that dignity is a fundamental human right and our aid is provided without prejudice and on a voluntary, no fee attached basis. We are committed to the care and support of communities and we aim to deliver high quality, compassionate assistance at all times. Our working objective is to liaise with communities and relevant agencies to assess what’s necessary and provide volunteers with expertise in those areas to assist community empowerment through restoring dignity in the short term, medium term and long term. WHAT DINIT OFFERS DINIT happily acknowledges and respects the compassion and dedication of volunteers globally. However, we must also acknowledge that compassion is not the same as having the necessary skills, qualifications or experience for particular projects with specific deliverables. We wish to pair these admirable personal traits with expertise and deploy the right volunteers, at the right time, to the right place in a timely fashion. DINIT volunteers will be suitably qualified and experienced in order to carry out their role as identified by the organisation and that all volunteers will have received appropriate pre-deployment training, to include (and not limited to) reporting, security, specifics of the role, and self -care and vicarious trauma Please email info@dinit.ie for further information. We look forward to hearing from you.
