Association "Digital National Alliance" is part of the European Commission's Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs and is set up, due to the significant shortage of professionals working in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) European Union (EU), which limits the possibilities for economic growth. The association aims to contribute to achieving the priorities set out in the Digital Agenda in Europe, and to solve this problem through concrete and coordinated actions by the public and private sector through increasing the number of ICT internships, as well as to establish more direct links between education and business, to standardize requirements and achieve other objectives drawn that lead to significant and positive changes at the national level. Through coordinating on national scale, for the development of society in Bulgaria, based on knowledge, promoting and developing digital skills for young people and the community as a whole, Digital National Coalition aims to increase employment and achieve more efficient use of the digital potential. Main tasks of the Coalition are, to strengthen the capacity development of new industries and occupations related to ICT; to combine efforts for building a smart digitized Bulgarian economy and to create the conditions for a competitive economy in the digital age; to increase public awareness for the importance and benefits of digital skills and competencies, reaching every resident of Bulgaria. Unifying the resources of all interested sides, the Alliance aims for more people from all age groups to develop digital skills, and to choose a career path in the IT sector; to fill in the gap between the education and the businesses, between the searching and offering on the job market, and more Bulgarian youth to receive support in the studying of sciences and ICT.
