Our PhD trained writing teachers support all aspects of academic writing projects from idea development, to writing and revision, to publication. We focus on developing sustainable writing habits and writing project management systems to support an academic career from graduate school through university leadership. Defend, Publish & Lead differs from other academic writing coaching companies. Because of advanced training in writing studies, coaches focus on improving the scholarly writing processes of the writer versus the writing itself. While we can edit, suggest wording, and format documents to meet dissertation or publication requirements, we can help writers with more advanced writing tasks such as organizing writing for clarity of purpose and structure, fine tuning research questions, developing paragraphs using sources as supports, and designing job talk or dissertation defense presentations. At Defend, Publish & Lead, we take a holistic approach to every writing task. Completed, well-written projects contribute to research trajectory, career mobility, and leadership opportunities as chairs, deans, provosts, and presidents.
