Overview

David Beynon Pena (1958-2016) was a lifelong and prolific professional artist. He worked in the mediums of oil, watercolor, charcoal, pencil and (for wedding paintings only) acrylic. His works include landscapes and seascapes, many of Maine, cityscapes, still life and flowers, portraits and heads, figures and erotic art. His style was impressionist and representational. David preferred to paint alla prima on location which gave his art a vivid immediacy. His brush strokes were bold and brushy.
