Overview

Data Center Decommissioning is a licensed general contractor specializing in decommissioning data centers. We are different from your standard contractor because we place true value on all of the assets that we recover from your facility. Our ability to refurbish and resell the equipment allows us to give our clients a return on their original investment. This concept is unheard of with other contractors because they do not have the resources to refurbish and resell, so valuable assets get scrapped. Standard demolition companies charge an excessive amount for the decommissioning scope. We can offset the decommission costs with the value of the equipment and sometimes even write you a check when we are finished! Since we specialize in this type of environment, we are extremely knowledgeable in the process and aware of the liabilities with the hazardous materials that accompany these facilities such as lead acid batteries, fire suppression gas, refrigerants, transformer oil with PCBs, and diesel fuel. These materials are handled, transported, and processed by licensed contractors. Once the project is complete, documentation of destruction and disposal is issued for all hazardous materials abated. DCD handles the entire scope of work to disconnect, de-install, and remove the equipment: ✓ Electrical disconnects ✓ Mechanical disconnects ✓ Evacuation and disposal of refrigerant ✓ Evacuation and disposal of fire suppression gas ✓ Removal and disposal of batteries ✓ Removal and disposal of diesel fuel ✓ Palletizing and removal of equipment ✓ Crane & Rigging of generators and diesel fuel tanks ✓ Removal of piping and conduit ✓ Cut and capping lines ✓ Provide documentation for equipment recycled, disposed, re-sold, etc. By one team managing the entire process, instead of 7-10 different contractors, we are able to operate more efficiently, meet deadlines more effectively, and reduce liability. We will decommission data centers anywhere in the U.S.
