Overview

Data Feminism Network (DFN) is a community-hub for individuals who are passionate about leveraging data for gender equality, and for those who are keen to learn more. We work to promote equitable and gender-sensitive data practices by not only turning the tables on gender injustices, but rooting out all forms of oppression. Through our virtual lounges, book clubs, and events we address biased data systems and explore inclusion strategies through an intersectional feminist lens. We amplify the voices of marginalized communities around the world - especially those facing intersecting vulnerabilities - and we work to promote a more inclusive and diverse data workforce. Whether you’re a data professional, a social justice advocate, or completely new to the realm of data feminism, Data Feminism Network is the perfect place to deepen your knowledge and expand your network. DFN is inspired by, but unaffiliated with, the book Data Feminism written by Catherine D’Ignazio and Lauren F. Klein and published by the MIT press.
