We provide an on-site reel & bed-knife sharpening service so your mowers never have to leave the golf course. This allows you, the customer, to have your greens mowers, tee’s mowers, fairway mowers etc to be sharpened without them leaving your golf course, stadium etc. This is peace of mind to you as your downtime is minimised considerably. All sharpening provided is done with "non-contact cutting". This is effectively the difference between trimming each blade of grass with a scalpel as opposed to tearing the top off by hand. Dull or poorly sharpened mowers tear and shred grass blades rather than cut them. This leaves the tips vulnerable to disease. This increases the demand for water which spurs on disease. Mowers need to be checked daily and adjusted and sharpened regularly to prevent unnecessary injury and to optimise turfgrass health. While on-site, our technician will also go through reel bearings, roller bearings and replace them as necessary at an added cost.
