Overview

Croatian Pharmaceutical Society is a national, independent, voluntary professional association that brings together pharmacists in the Republic of Croatia, in order to improve professional and scientific work in the field of pharmacy, for the health benefit of of the entire community. The first professional association founded in 1858 and since 1946 operates under the name of Croatian pharmaceutical company. The main objectives of the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society are the development of the pharmaceutical profession, encouraging professional and scientific work, organizing courses for continuous education and lifelong learning of pharmacist, organizing expert and scientific conferences, publishing of magazines and books, promotion and advancement of pharmaceutical care and science, and expanding role of pharmacist in healthcare, public health and society in general. Furthermore, HFD intensively and works closely with other pharmaceutical institutions in Croatia and globally (FIP. PGEU, EAHP, etc.), with medical professionals and other professional associations, as well as all other associations of health care professionals. Great emphasis is placed on respect for ethical / bioethical principles, and raising awareness about honor, dignity, reputation and responsibility of the pharmacy profession! Professional and scientific work is carried out through the activities of many sections and regional associations of pharmacists all over Croatia.
