Creatively Independent

Overview

Creatively Independent was born from a desire to destroy the “starving artist” stereotype and activate the arts in education, bringing back a balance of education–drawing out that which is latent–and training–passing down proven techniques. The revolution slips into every crack like liquid: flowing from original to classical works, from teacher to student, from performer to audience. We travel internationally teaching/performing with the hope of embedding the roots of art back into our daily lives. CI tours 250+ days/year engaging students from toddler-professional in residencies, keynotes, consultations and physical theatre performances. Combined, the Co-Founders have directed/choreographed over 60 shows from Off-Broadway, Fringe, International, Regional and Educational. In memorandum of founder, Jess Pillmore, the work of Creatively Independent will continue on.
