Cotton Australia is the peak body for Australia’s cotton growers, supporting up to 1,500 cotton farming families in NSW and Queensland. Head Office is in Sydney, with Regional Managers placed throughout the cotton production regions in NSW and Queensland. Cotton Australia has a number of important roles including to: - advocate cotton industry positions with all levels of government - provide grower advice on cotton research and development - lead the stewardship of natural and other resources - implement the industry's flagship environmental program, myBMP - tell the positive story of Australia's cotton industry - position cotton in the world market as the fibre of choice Cotton Australia works with growers, government, media, other agricultural industries and the community to foster a world class agricultural industry that’s sustainable, valued for its economic and social contributions and produces a top quality product in demand around the globe. Australia's cotton crop was worth $2.2 billion in 2012/13, with the entire crop exported each year mainly to Asian markets.
