Overview

CFQ is a student investment group within Erasmus Investment Society B&R Beurs. CFQ is known as one of the most active and well-known groups within the society. Aside from being a group of eager investors, CFQ has always been a major supplier of members to the various committees of B&R Beurs, as well as delivering one of the most B&R Beurs board members of all investment groups. CFQ manages a portfolio of around €5000, consisting of a mixture of stocks, bonds, ETFs and derivatives of financial products. Up to 30% of the portfolio can be allocated to short-term trading/investment opportunities. Naturally, CFQ aims to generate positive returns, but capital gain is not the only core objective of the investment group. Members of CFQ first and foremost strive to increase their knowledge of the financial markets, and help other members on their journey to do so. CFQ encourages its first-year members to start making investment proposals from the start on. The more experienced investors will review their proposals and offer a helping hand where needed. Within CFQ, the social aspect of investing together as a group is not neglected. Aside from the regular bi-weekly investment meetings, including a dinner, CFQ organises various activities to enhance the internal social cohesion. Most noteworthy is the annual group trip abroad. For a weekend, the group of co-portfoliomanagers will be merely a group of good friends enjoying their stay at a foreign city.
