Cordelia's Locket is the brainchild of innovative and boundary-pushing hospitality group, Locket Hospitality Inc., to alleviate the negative fallout from traditional restaurant operations, especially during this Covid pandemic. By pioneering hive-like collaborations of contributions from mostly women, with care-taking responsibilities outside of the workplace, and creating a flexible and inclusive environment of shared values, common issues like staff turnover due to scheduling and unhappiness are reduced or eliminated. Cordelia's Locket is committed to creating part and full time employees in the Squamish community, as well as using local trades, businesses, service providers, and food producers to foster a loyal and connected following while supporting local agricultural initiatives. Finally, in its unique location just off the Sea-to-Sky corridor between Vancouver and Whistler, on Squamish's oceanfront, in close proximity to the proposed Garibaldi's all-season resort, Cordelia's Locket fills a much needed economic and community niche as a gathering place for its neighborhood residents, local BC explorers and tourists to the surrounding areas.
