The Council Of Property Search Organisations is the representative Trade Body for Property information businesses in the UK, primarily to support the home buying process in the UK. We have over 100 member companies, providing more than of 4 million property searches a year to conveyancers, homebuyers, mortgage lenders and other property professionals. The sector is worth over £1 billion a year. COPSO created and manages The Search Code, a regulatory framework that ensures high standards of search provision. It is recognised by property lawyers and lenders and is overseen by The Property Ombudsman.
