Overview

Our story began in 2014, when our founder Lucas fell for shrubs while learning to bartend after college. He recognized the fleeting nature of seasonal produce and thought shrubs would be a fun and all-natural vehicle for preserving it. Lucas began sourcing fruits from San Diego farms and other quality purveyors, combining them with organic apple cider vinegar and other ingredients he loved using behind the bar with an emphasis on health and wellness. Many test batches and drinks later, Lucas launched his unique line of shrubs that are fresh, complex, and bursting with flavor. The brand is an ode to his college nickname, a reminder of simpler times and lazy mornings at the Santa Barbara farmers market.
