As a nationally recognized center of expertise in the field of pattern recognition and image processing, the Computer Vision & Data Science professorship has been contributing to the establishment of artificial intelligence in the Netherlands for over 25 years. The mindset of the professorship Computer Vision & Data Science is to enable everyone's strengths, aiming to resolve broad range of research projects in the field of image data analyses with applications ranging from smart farming to medical imaging, in collaboration with students, staff and business experts. The four focus areas of the Computer Vision & Data Science professorship being: high-performance image acquisition, applied computer vision, state-of-the-art data science and specialized education. Specialized education is offered in the form of a minor, (graduation) internships and a master's degree in Computer Vision & Data Science.
