Overview
Community Windpower Ltd is at the forefront of wind energy development in the UK with over 1.5GW built, under construction, with planning consent or in development. Operating since 2001, we have a dedicated team of professionals who are committed to renewable energy and have extensive experience in the sector. To date we have provided over £8 million in community benefits to the local host communities surrounding our wind farms. We have 8 operational wind farms: • Dalry (Wardlaw Wood) – 6 turbines • Aikengall – 16 turbines • Millour Hill – 6 turbines • Millour Hill Extension – 2 turbines • Calder Water – 13 turbines • Aikengall II – 19 turbines • Sanquhar – 9 turbines • Aikengall IIa – 19 turbines Our operational capacity therefore currently stands at 90 installed turbines which cumulatively produce just over 300MW of clean energy. We also have 3 consented wind farms: - Sanquhar II -- 44 turbines - Sanquhar ‘Six’ -- 6 turbines - Sneddon Law -- 15 turbines These wind farms total almost 360MW of capacity. Sneddon Law is currently under construction. 3 wind farms are currently in development, awaiting planning consent: - Faw Side – 45 turbines - Scoop Hill – 60 turbines
