Overview

Hans Raj College is a much coveted name for its academic and co-curricular excellence and is among the top ten institutions of the country. A similar image is shared by its largest department of over 600 students and faculty members. Hans Raj College every year attracts the best commerce minds from all over the nation into the prestigious B.Com(Hons.) course. The faculty here is a close-knit community of reputed authors and dedicated and experienced teachers. The commerce department of the college has done remarkable progress over the years and has earned the distinction of being one of the best departments in Delhi University. The department every year, through a rigorous interview procedure and with the involvement of the senior teachers, extracts the most efficient students forming the well renowned Commerce Society. Presently the Society is a constitution of 22 dedicated members headed by our convener Ms Meghna Malhotra and the head of the department Mr N.K. Jain. The Commerce Society and its editorial board blend the academic and cultural pursuit of the commerce students by organising different events in the likes of seminars, lectures, trips, annual departmental fest, fresher’s and the farewell. The work of the society reflects the genius and skills possessed by the commerce students of Hans Raj College.
