BERDE is an art and social transformation project created in Asturias and formed by a team of professionals from different backgrounds, whose mission is to create a space where people with intellectual diversity or those battling with mental health disorders are encouraged and supported to explore their artistic expression. Our activity is the result of a long experience in managing national and international artistic and social innovation projects. Our method consists in organizing workshops which provide the space, guidance and support for artistic expression. Each one is carefully designed to fit the specific needs of both the individual participants and the group. Every BERDE workshop is led by a professional artist who proposes different artistic activities while respecting the needs, time, development and artistic freedom of each participant. Based on our strong commitment to society, change and innovation, our work focuses on inclusive, interdisciplinary work while supporting contemporary creation.
