Overview

The 30% Club is a global initiative founded by Dame Helena Morrissey in the UK in 2010. Since then, it has become a mission with a presence in 14 countries around the world, which aims to achieve at least 30% female representation on boards and in executive positions worldwide. This initiative brings together the most influential people in the business industry in each country to achieve the abovementioned objective through the efforts of all its members, who are committed to gender balance, especially in leadership positions in the business sector. In Colombia, the participation of women on the boards of directors of securities issuers is only 17% and, as senior executives, there is one woman in only 8% of these companies. It is why the 30% Club seeks to generate greater diversity and equity in the top management of companies.
