Closeouts Republic humble beginnings started in 1990 with one retail location selling a diverse range of products. Israel Steinberg, (owner) saw the potential of the growing demand for consumer products and continued to develop more locations across the US. Over the span of 11 years, Closeouts Republic expanded to 18 retail locations selling direct to its customers and supplying distributors nationally. In 2001 Closeouts Republic sold the majority stake of its retail locations to a national chain and underwent a major rebranding . Closeouts Republic, once a giant in the retail space, now transitioned to the wholesale distribution model. Isaac Steinberg, son of Israel, took over the family business in 2019 with his partner and long time friend Nathan Lati. Closeouts Republic LLC, a national wholesale distribution company was re-born. Specializing in branded FMCG, HBA, toiletry, OTC and other like categories, Isaac and Nathan spend their time studying the consumer market and sought to provide the best products at competitive pricing. “We have a deep understanding of both the retail, wholesale and distribution models, which allowed us to expand nationally.
