Climanosco is founded with the vision that climate science should be accessible to everyone. We are an independent non-profit association, an online library, and, most importantly, a growing community of engaged citizens and scientists from around the world. Our mission is to provide free access to high quality, accessible climate science and to support citizens and scientists to work together in developing and communicating climate research. Every year, scientific literature publishes over 15,000 new climate research articles. This research is vital in creating informed, interconnected and viable solutions for climate challenges that impact us all. Yet, due to its technical nature, it is inaccessible to the vast majority of people. If the 21st century is to be the climate’s century, it is important that everyone around the world can access the state-of-the-art knowledge on climate at all time and that citizens are given a channel to interact with climate scientists in a productive manner.
