Clear Blue Sea is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to cleansing the oceans of plastic pollution. Our mission is to help ensure the survival of the marine ecosystem and the health of the maritime economy by removing macro and microplastic debris from our oceans and returning the marine environment back to clear blue seas. Clear Blue Sea’s innovation is an unmanned, autonomous, wind- and solar- powered marine robot that harvests floating plastic from marine environments. We call our robot “FRED” – Floating Robot for Eliminating Debris.
