Overview

The China Care Fund Boston University Chapter (BUCCF) is a student-run organization that aims to empower youth to create life-changing opportunities for orphans in China. Formed in 2005, BUCCF is recognized by and works with Half the Sky Foundation to sponsor orphan surgeries and post-medical care through various fundraising events. BUCCF collaborates with MIT China Care to host a bi-weekly Dumplings Playgroup for adopted Chinese children. The purpose of this playgroup is to “increase the children's awareness of and appreciation for their Chinese language and cultural heritage and to provide a venue where adoptive families can meet and network." Additionally, as many student volunteers cannot go to orphanages to meet the children we help, this program allows them to connect with nearby adopted children. We are always looking for individuals to join our cause!
