Based in Hong Kong, Chime undertakes in-depth research and consulting assignments with a focus on the entertainment industries of China, India and the Middle East (CHIME). Among early projects, Chime produced a report for United Talent Agency (UTA) on India’s film industry and talent management business, and helped the British Film Institute (BFI) connect with major players in the Chinese film industry when they first brought a delegation of UK film producers and sales agents to Beijing. More recently, Chime researched Asia’s film and TV subsidy programmes for a report produced by UK consultants Olsberg SPI for Create Hong Kong. Between 2011-2017, Chime also collaborated with Screen International (www.screendaily.com) to publish daily magazines at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) and Film Bazaar, organised by India’s National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
