Overview

Foodseum is Chicago’s first nonprofit food museum. That’s right, a physical space dedicated to providing an educational journey through the history, people, and farm-to-table transformation of specific food types. Celebrating with visitors the current and innovative uses of that food type, and inspiring them to go out and continue their own personal culinary adventure. To learn more please visit our website http://foodseum.org. As humans we all eat, it’s required to survive, however with continuing advancements in technology we find ourselves more disconnected from our food than ever before. The history, natural wonder, infrastructure, and people that make our survival possible are too often taken for granted. Foodseum aims to fix this, by providing a universally accessible and internationally celebrated location dedicated to helping visitors discover their passion for food. Through interactive exhibits, educational seminars, events and developmental programming, Foodseum will provide fun accessible basic food education, a window into simple preparations and exotic flavors, and most importantly the inspiration to continue to explore the wonderful world of food. Our Mission: To provide an education-based central location for anyone to learn about, celebrate and be inspired by food. Our Values: Food is Friendship, Food is Family, Food is Fun!
