Overview

Centre for African Justice, Peace and Human Rights (CAJ) is a Foundation located in the city of The Hague, Netherlands. The Foundation is a non-profit, and it started as a Human Rights Project in Africa; and has presently gained a legal seat in The Netherlands since 2017. The Foundation aims to promote peace, justice and human rights in Africa and around the world, using both local and international resources as it concerns justice, peace and human rights available in The Hague which has global acceptance as the legal capital of the world. So far, we have used the existing intellectual resources in human rights and criminal law to engage in promoting justice, peace and human rights through education, awareness campaigns, training, outreach and capacity building in Africa and around the world. In general, we focus on 1) Prosecuting Sexual violence against the male gender 2)Capacity building of lawyers and Judges in Africa 3) Women empowerment 4)Promotion of Peace in Africa. 5)Promotion of the right to education We have successfully organised a couple of events in the past months which includes our International Peace campaign, International women's day campaign, Presentation in Amsterdam at an International Women's Conference on the protection of Boys from sexual abuse. We also organised an International Symposium on Prosecuting Sexual violence against the Male gender at the Hague University of Applied Sciences with many international Judges, Medical health Practitioners and Ambassadors in attendance. We are also providing facilities for quality education in Africa with about 700 pupils /students as our present beneficiaries.
