Overview
The Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC) provides hearing health care of the highest caliber to people affected by hearing loss, deafness and listening challenges. CHC audiologists, speech therapists, education specialist and psychotherapists are uniquely skilled in addressing the hearing and communication needs of all ages. Our comprehensive approach ensures you or a loved one will hear and communicate with confidence. Services for all ages include expert hearing testing; hearing aid evaluation and fitting; custom hearing protection; assistive device consultation; tinnitus therapy; auditory processing disorder evaluation and therapy; auditory-based speech-language therapy (pediatric); speech and language assessment and therapy; speechreading and auditory therapy; cochlear implant evaluation and rehabilitation; educational support; parent counseling; psychological and educational evaluations; psychiatric evaluations; individual, couple, group and family psychotherapy; and parent support groups. Unmanaged hearing loss is extremely isolating; it erodes life quality, independence, potential, and even physical health. CHC is dedicated to providing the care truly necessary to help our clients overcome communication challenges and connect to life. As a not-for-profit organization established in 1910, CHC welcomes people of every ability, age, background, or mode of communication, and we serve all regardless of financial circumstances. We are proud to be a resource for public education and community outreach, impacting the lives of preschoolers, seniors and others in need of hearing health information and mobile audiological services which we offer through our mobile hearing test unit.
