Overview
Cerdas Antisipasi Risiko bencana Indonesia (CARI!)* is a research & information technology start-up working to enhance knowledge management for disaster risk reduction and resilient development. The paramount vision from the development of CARI! is to accelerate the development of a disaster-resilient environment throughout Indonesia and beyond. CARI! supports government, academics, enterprises, and many others to bridge the whole scientific knowledge to the public. CARI! has two main products; Search Engine (Main Portal) and Indonesia Disaster Knowledge Update (IDKU). Our Main Portal is an automatic crawling engine that provides spatial-based disaster-related journal and research repositories across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Currently, we have gathered more than 54.000 geo-tagged published research articles from major indexing tools. Our IDKU is a monthly update on the disaster knowledge landscape, strategies, and trends in Indonesia, summarized in two or three pages. Our IDKU is the first, and the one and only, periodically infographics bulletin that provides a systematic review of research articles on disasters in Indonesia by using interactive data visualization. These two products are free to use and can be customizable for anyone. Aside from the products, CARI! also offered a wide range of services, from premium analytics, ICT system integration, human capacity building, and strategic planning.
