Canopy’s mission is to assure access to space by pioneering a new era of advanced manufacturing, supported by deep industry knowledge, customer-driven innovation, and an unwavering commitment to secure the domestic industrial supply chain. Our current capabilities include manufacturing of thermal protection systems (reusable and ablative) for hypersonic systems and space vehicles, in addition to on-demand additive manufacturing of ceramics. Canopy is a dual-use, venture-backed company founded by USAF veteran Matt Shieh and Dr. John Howard.
