Canada-India Business Council

Overview

The Canada-India Business Council is a not-for-profit that specializes in providing high-touch opportunities for key leaders, notable thinkers, and its members to convene and collaborate in the Canada-India economic corridor. The Council works across Canada and India with a specific focus on the following sectors: agriculture, energy, funds, post-secondary education, and technology. The Council works to strengthen the Canada-Indian economic corridor by hosting events, curating market intelligence and industry analyses, and facilitating connections between Canadian and Indian organizations. With 40 years of experience fostering strategic partnerships within this bi-national space, the Council has a vital role to play in the futures of both Canada and India. The Council specializes in convening preeminent business and government leaders in the Canada-India economic corridor. The Council’s targeted and culturally sensitive approach has resulted in the development of successful working relationships between our organization and notable partners across business, not-for-profit, and government sectors in Canada and India. From the 2021 Mumbai Business Forum (Mumbai, India) to the 2020 Invest India event (virtual), where the Council hosted India’s 14th Prime Minister, the Honourable Shri Narendra Modi as Chief Guest speaker, the Council’s signature events have featured world-class speakers and reached an international audience of key business and government leaders. Other signature events like their annual BC-India Partnership Summit and their annual summit on agricultural opportunities in Canada and India have allowed key leaders to gain unique insight on current investment opportunities. In 2022, the Council had the privilege of partnering on the first ever Women-Only Business Mission to India. We look forward to working with you as Canada's business link to India.
