Calcasieu Parish (pronounced CAL-ca-shoo) is located in Southwest Louisiana and has a population of 192,768. In the heart of Southwest Louisiana, Calcasieu Parish's rich history, diversified economy, and numerous recreational opportunities, make this area a wonderful place to live, work and visit. The Calcasieu Parish governing body consists of 15 Police Jurors are elected to serve 15 single-member districts covering the entire parish. Two regular meetings are held each month, usually on the first and third Thursdays with a committee night held monthly on the fourth Thursday. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s mission is to consistently and efficiently provide the highest quality of services to the people of Calcasieu Parish in a manner that is responsive to the will and needs of its citizens. To fulfill the mission of the Police Jury, we proactively look for skilled talent to fill open positions within our organization.
