Overview

BuyBoard® is a purchasing cooperative that offers schools, municipalities, counties, and other public entities nationwide access to millions of competitively procured products and services from more than 1,800 awarded vendors across the country. BuyBoard was created to increase the purchasing power of government entities and to simplify their purchasing by using a customized online purchasing system. Since 1998, BuyBoard has been delivering vast economies of scale in purchasing products and services to members. The BuyBoard includes both The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (established in 1998 for Texas governmental entities) and the National Purchasing Cooperative (established in 2010 for governmental entities outside Texas). Both entities are governed by a board composed wholly or primarily of cooperative member representatives and both entities have no staff but receive full or partial administrative support from the Texas Association of School Boards, Inc. (TASB).
